Industries Cover in MUDRA Yojana

Very few industries cover in mudra yojana because it is designed for micro industries and they are eligible to get a loan under the Mudra bank loan scheme.

Any Indian Citizen who has a business plan for a non-farm sector income generating activity such as manufacturing, processing, trading, or service sector and whose credit need is less than 10 lakh can approach either a Bank, MFI, or NBFC for availing of MUDRA loans under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY).

The usual terms and conditions of the lending agency may have to be followed for availing of loans under PMMY. The lending rates are as per the RBI guidelines issued in this regard from time to time.

There is lots of confusion in the market that which industries are cover under . We are getting lots of queries continuously about it. MUDRA covers almost all industries & sectors, especially in rural areas. MUDRA designs especially for weaker sections who have good entrepreneur skills & need working capital to start the business.

MUDRA operates a special scheme for women entrepreneurs under Mahila Uddyami Scheme.

  • Non – Corporate Small Business Segment (NCSBS) comprising of millions of proprietorship/partnership firms running as small manufacturing units.
  • Service sector units:- Such as saloons, beauty parlors, gymnasium, boutiques, tailoring shops, dry cleaning, cycle, and motorcycle repair shop, DTP and Photocopying Facilities, Medicine Shops, Courier Agents, etc.
  • Shopkeepers
  • Fruits / vegetable vendors
  • Truck operators:- purchase of transport vehicles for goods and personal transport such as auto rickshaw, small goods transport vehicle, 3 wheelers, e-rickshaw, passenger cars, taxis, etc.
  • Food-service units
  • Repair shops
  • Machine operators
  • Small industries:-  handloom, power loom, chikan work, zari and zardozi work, traditional embroidery and handwork, traditional dyeing and printing, apparel design, knitting, cotton ginning, computerized embroidery, stitching, and other textile non-garment products such as bags, vehicle accessories, furnishing accessories, etc.
  • Artisans
  • Food processors:- papad making, achaar making, jam/jelly making, agricultural produce preservation at the rural level, sweet shops, small service food stalls and day to day catering/canteen services, cold chain vehicles, cold storages, ice-making units, ice cream making units, biscuit, bread and bun making, etc.

    Ships & Gots business are parts of agriculture sector. State govt. are providing lots of other schemes for it with subsidy. We suggest you to approach them for loan. In Mudra loan you have to pay minimum 11% interest which is higher than state govt. loan.

    I have a small to-let service agency (first of it’s kind) in a small town and I have been facing problems with all the nationalized & cooperative banks for availing loan under MUDRA.

    Mainly all banks are citing the business model or the lack of successful to-let services within the town (when in fact I’m the first).

    When I got in touch with SIDBI, the manager was helpful in directing to do the necessary, however till date I’m unable to proceed ahead.

    Please advise.

    When i heard about MUDRA i went to Dena Bank Bhandup(W), Mumbai branch, The Concern Person asked me were is your account,i told him it is in Co Oprative bank, So go and ask them for the same, i told him that only Nationalised banks are allowed to give this loan,
    he told yes but whose account’s are with us and which are of min 6 months older are only eligable for the same. i told if i open an account then , he replied me its of no use as this scheme is going to be closed on 15th Feb 2016. Is it true? . Then I visited another bank in same locality Syndicate Bank there i got a shocking answer from a BRANCH MANAGER
    he told me MUDRA & Business Loan are one and the same which you can take from your cooperative bank also,i told him sir i got the information from net that there is lot of difference in it , Then he told me then go and take loan from Internet dont waste my time.
    Now i belive that this type of pepole will not allow any aspring candidate to stand in a market to start his or her business. Has govt laid any such conditions. Sir Pleas do reply.

    As its known that there is no provision or rule that
    the business in Rural is required shop act licence
    When she approached to SBI and BO Maha. They ask her
    that the shop act is mandatory. how could she produce shop act as its not at all possible to get.
